I love Old Bay but the sodium is just too much plus why you need any if you are eating lobster, shrimp, and octopus. Seafood has natural trace sodium so it is really an overkill. So here is our take on Old Bay favorite – Free2BFit Seafood Spice Blend:

Ingredients: 

  • 1 tbsp. ground dried bay leaves
  • 2 tsp. celery seeds
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry ground garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp. ground mace
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp. ground allspice

Cooking Steps:

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Store in an airtight container.
